Atiyyah Ferouz

Atiyyah is a plant scientist with an extensive background in regulated industries. She transitioned into the cannabis space in 2018, taking on the role of Tissue Culture Lab Manager at a medically-focused indoor cultivation facility. She then went on to become the Director of Business Development and Operations Specialist at a 1.3 million sq ft commercial cannabis greenhouse, managing quality assurance, regulatory, and operational aspects of the business.

Atiyyah is passionate about cannabis quality assurance and the establishment of a global cannabis supply chain. She is a Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGP), a trained GMP pharmaceutical quality management system auditor, and a Cannabis Authenticity and Purity Standard (CAPS) certified consultant. She specializes in assisting clients in emerging cannabis markets and she is currently working on projects in North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.

Nick Pateras
Nick brings a wealth of global experience in the pharmaceutical and cannabis sectors to the CEO role of Lyphe Group, the UK’s largest medical cannabis company. His career includes several years of P&L oversight for Johnson & Johnson’s largest healthcare brands, before joining the cannabis industry in Canada in 2017. Most recently Nick was interim CEO at medical cannabis producer Materia, where he ran its European operations, including the successful licensure of its EU GMP production site in Malta. During this time, Materia’s facility became the first in Malta ever to export medical cannabis internationally, selling into the German market. Prior to Materia, Nick had served as Vice President, Strategy at Canadian cannabis tech firm Lift & Co., where he steered revenue growth of 6x in two years, and supported Lift & Co.’s public listing.
Matt Millich
Matt works closely with the senior leadership team to envision and implement the overall mission and strategy for BZAM, including overseeing operations and seeking out new opportunities to grow the business. Before working in cannabis, Matt was an investment manager and film producer with several films to his credit. He holds a Master of Business Administration from UCLA and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and TV from NYU.
Josh Lebrun
Josh has over 15 years of experience as an investor, entrepreneur and business leader in various industries including software and cannabis. A Richard Ivey School of Business graduate, Josh began his career in investment banking and private equity before becoming President and COO of eCompliance, a Health and Safety software company. Over 7 years, he built eCompliance into an international market leader, and in 2019, a European private equity firm acquired the company. Following the exit, Josh recognized a gap in the Canadian cannabis industry supply chain and launched Cannabis Co-Pack, a B2B cannabis manufacturing and packaging services company. As CEO, Josh oversees all operations alongside a leadership team that manages more than 70 employees and the production of over 35 products for many of Canada’s top cannabis companies.

Erik is a Colorado Native with over 10 years of experience operating a wide variety of enterprises within the legal framework of the Colorado Cannabis market. He is a founding Board Member of the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp (“ATACH”), created to promote the expansion, protection, and preservation of incorporated businesses engaged in the legal trade of industrial, medical, and recreational cannabis and hemp-based products (ATACH.org).
Barry Katzman
Barry Katzman is an accomplished senior executive and entrepreneur with a strong background in beverage alcohol and the cannabis sector. After a stint at Molson Breweries where he oversaw Sales for 4 districts in Eastern Ontario, Mr. Katzman entered the Canadian wine industry where in a 15+ year span Mr. Katzman helped pioneer the entire sector as President and part owner of 6 different wineries including wineries such as Creekside Estates, Stoney Ridge Estates, Mike Weir Winery, Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery. Mr. Katzman is a senior advisor to and Board Member of several companies and was a founder of Tidal Health, a medically focused cannabis producer in the Maritimes; and was Board and Executive Chairman of Terrafarma Inc and Thrive Cannabis (Greybeard). Currently, Mr Katzman oversees the Canadian arm of Australia-based Althea Health Group (ASX:AGH) and is the Managing Director at Peak Processing Solutions, one of the largest and most trusted 3rd party solution providers to the global cannabis industry and the largest independent producer of cannabis-infused beverages in Canada.

Tony is a driven entrepreneur specializing in start-ups. The CEO of Sensi Brands, Tony is a pioneer in the asset-light cannabis operational model. Under his leadership, Sensi has become one of Canada’s most successful privately-owned mid-size cannabis companies. Tony has served as founder/executive in six start-ups including The Flowr Corp., Scalar Decisions, K2 Digital, Q9 Networks & Funky Parrott (all successfully acquired). He is an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Cannabis Council of Canada (C3) and a certified Cannabis Sommelier (Levels 1 & 2).

Pierre Killeen LL.B LL.L

Pierre is a trusted advisor working at the intersection of government, law, and industry. An accomplished public affairs professional with a background in law, Pierre has served as a Vice-President with Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Nanos Research. Pierre was a senior executive with HEXO, one of the first publicly listed operators in Canada’s cannabis industry, where he was responsible for the company’s public affairs and corporate communications during the legalization of cannabis. He then served as the Vice-President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs with the Cannabis Council of Canada, professionalizing its policy, communications, and government relations programs. Most recently, Pierre completed a mission with the Government of Ecuador to advise on the regulation of cannabis and has served as an international expert on World Bank missions to Morocco and Tunisia.
